The next step is click Media > Convert / Save. Open Media box will show up. Now you need to add a video file you just opened. Make sure your video path is on the list. Click Convert / Save.
In this section you need to select video profile. I added MP4 file, so I choose Video – H.264 + MP3 (MP4). Click Edit profile the next.
Now uncheck Keep original video track, then select H-264 on Coded section. Delete the value of Bitrate and make sure the value is Not Used. Make sure Quality value is Not Used as well. Set the Frame Rate to Same as source. These settings is important to make sure the video is not losing its quality.
Now heading to tab Filters. Scroll down and find Video transformation filter and check it. Click Save.
Now, you need click Browse to set the destination file. Click Start to start conversion.
VLC is converting. It will save a copy of your video and apply the filter permanently. Wait until finished. Conversion process depends on how long the video duration is. Smaller video size means faster, bigger video size means takes longer.
Once it done, you need deactivate the effect you made before.
Now you can play the video. You can see that video was rotated.
